MBA: The differences between an MFE and MBA are numerous. Some of the differences are obvious, for example the MFE program is one year, while an MBA typically takes two years. Many MBA programs can be taken on a part time basis, while our program is full-time only.
If you apply as a Consortium candidate, you are not required to complete the Full-time Berkeley MBA program application. Applicants who apply using The Consortium application undergo the same evaluation process as applicants who apply directly to the Berkeley MBA.

Students earn an MBA in 21 months in the traditional program, or in three years if they attend part time in the evenings and on Saturdays. Electives make up more than half the MBA curriculum, and students can select courses offered at Haas or at other academic divisions of UC-Berkeley.

The Berkeley Haas full-time MBA program requires completion of 51 semester units of coursework: 12 core courses, an applied innovation requirement, and elective courses. The 12 required core courses (21 units) that all full-time MBA students take in the first year of study provide the analytical tools and essential knowledge to lead effectively.

The minimum TOEFL score required by UC Berkeley for graduate admission is 570 on the paper-based test (PBT), 230 on the computer based test (CBT), and 90 on the Internet Based Test (iBT). The minimum score for the IELTS is an overall band score of 7; there are no minimum scores for the individual bands.
